An exciting broke the world record to ride on the most round coastal within a week-reached an adrenaline pumping 55.
Dean Stokes, 36, had set himself the challenge of summer to ride in every single roller in the United Kingdom – but his plans were skumed by Storm Floris.
However, he still managed to set up a World Record of Guinness for the most rolled coastals in a single week – after he treated 55 in just seven days.
He departed from Brighton Palace Pier on August 2 and ended up in Thorpe Park on Sunday, August 17.
During that time, he visited 32 thematic parks and received 108 rollers.
“I realized that I was riding on countless coasts in many different countries around the world, but not much across the United Kingdom,” said Stokes, who has his business technology and training company. “So I decided I wanted to create this challenge for myself.
“When I started mentioning it for the first time for people, I thought I would be crazy, but people actually started encouraging me,” he continued. “And it was amazing. I had a lot of fun.”
He pointed out that “there were some landing -raising – both literally and metaphorical – especially with the storm of Floris that was making my plans and with all the logistics. But my friend Simon came with me and did most of the driving all over the country. So it was a great help.
“Strangely, Simon doesn’t drive a single sled with me because he hates them,” he noticed Stokes. Instead, he was responsible for ranking snacks on topic parks.
“But I’m trying to get him a world record of Guinness because I am the first person to visit that thematic parks without riding a single sled.”
During the 16 days, Stokes and Simon led more than 2,300 miles.
Stokes, from Brighton, said they visited some amazing places, but his favorites were Adventure Island in Southend and Crealy Theme & Resort in Devon.
“We are so lucky to have so many amazing thematic parks on the beach throughout the United Kingdom-especially so independent and owned by the family,” he was amazed.
Meanwhile, his favorite individual coasts of rolls were icons in Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Hyperia in Thorpe Park.
Hyperia is the longest and fastest coaster of the United Kingdom, reaching 80 miles per hour and heights of 236 meters.
Stokes said he hopes his achievement can encourage other people to do things they enjoy.
“I never went to the topics of the topics as a kid, so I only tried my first stern as a teenager, and I really liked it,” he said. “But it was only in the last five to 10 years that I discovered that I really love the rush of adrenaline.
He added that “the atmosphere in the topics of the topics is great, and it is just somewhere fun to be”, further encouraging others that “we all need to do more things we find fun. I think we have sometimes ashamed or afraid of judgment – or even finish at work.
“So I really hope I do this can encourage more people to get there and do what they want.”

When Stokes tried to make this challenge, he had not planned to disrupt any registration.
But after he started sharing his trip to his Instagram, Guinness World Records came into contact to say he could put a new one.
“I didn’t get into this while waiting to set up a world record – but they were contacted and said they had one that no one had tried,” Stokes said. “And that was the most riding seaside in a week.”
He added that he was “super proud” for an official world record, pointing out that he was “surreal to have him hanging in my office” – before suggesting someone else he had to fight to overcome his achievement.
“But I really think it’s extremely possible, so I’ll encourage every other sled fan to get there and give it a move.
“I’m ready to cross the stick.”
