The team tried to develop something that matches the way people “normally eat and live,” she added.

The beads are made of green tea polyphenols – antioxidants in tea leaves – combined with vitamin E to connect to the pots in the intestine and block their absorption. A layer of sea algae protects the vertebrae from stomach acid.
